Network slicing is one of the crucial concepts in 5G networks, where specific resources are reserved for concrete traffic types, applications, or users. Operators are working on the implementation of this technology, gradually deploying it. Telefonica and Ericsson recently provided a demonstration of end-to-end automated network slicing. The proof-of-concept showed end-to-end orchestration for full slicing life cycle support and radio resources partitioning. This zero-touch operation will offer customers an essential differential user experience, and the operators are currently working on it.
